Grayslake a suburb of Chicago that sits on the north side of the city in Lake County, Illinois. The village has a population of more than 21,000 residents, with several neighborhood parks, two public golf courses and plenty of nearby opportunities for outdoor recreation. Grayslake hosts several popular events throughout the year, including Grayslake Arts Festival, Taste of Grayslake in late June, and Grayslake Summer Days closer to the end of the summer season. For convenience, the village has two Metra lines, one on the south side and one on the north side of Grayslake, which provide service to Downtown Chicago, about 40-miles away. The two local high schools are part of Grayslake Community High School District 127, and most of the neighborhood schools are within Community Consolidated School District 46.
