If you commute to the north suburbs…

Edgewater/Rogers Park
Looking for a quick drive further north? Edgewater and Rogers Park are super convenient for those commuters and an incredible neighborhood for someone who wants to be close to the lake.

North Park
Go for a run at Peterson Park, or marvel at the wonders of nature at the North Park Village Nature Center. The North Park neighborhood is nestled right beneath Lincolnwood and is a quick drive to the Edens Expressway.

Old Irving/Irving Park
Right next to the Kennedy Expressway lies Old Irving and Irving Park. Single-family homes are popular in these two neighborhoods, but there are also plenty of condos and apartments. Quickly head up north via the Kennedy with ease.

If you’re commuting to the northwest suburbs…

Jefferson Park
The Blue Line, Metra, and the Kennedy Expressway are all available for residents of Jefferson Park. Big parks and golf courses make up much of this Chicago neighborhood, so explore those wide open spaces, gazelle!

Edison Park
Named one of the best neighborhoods in Chicago, Edison Park is nearby Norwood and Jefferson Park, and an easy drive via Northwest Highway or Milwaukee Avenue to the Northwest suburbs. This neighborhood is known for the low crime rate, as well as a wide selection of bars and restaurants.

If you’re commuting to the west suburbs…

Humboldt Park
A quick drive to Oak Park, River Forest, and Forest Park, this neighborhood has plenty to offer. Humboldt Park has been on the rise lately, as it is more affordable than many other north side neighborhoods. Drive south to jump on I-290 for a quick commute.

Avondale
Known for the affordable homes, community involvement, and multicultural heritage, Avondale is a wonderful neighborhood for the commuter. A quick drive to the Kennedy Expressway means less local traffic!

Portage Park
If you love theaters, history, and bungalows, then Portage Park is for you. This northern neighborhood is in the optimal spot for those commuting to the west, as it is right on the west edge of Chicago.

If you’re commuting to the south suburbs…

Bridgeport
Do you work in the south suburbs or the loop? Bridgeport is the perfect in between. Not only is it super close to amazing family owned restaurants and businesses, but it’s also very close to the Dan Ryan, which can connect you further south, or on your way up north. If you’re a Chicago White Sox fan, you know the close proximity to Guaranteed Rate Field is a plus, too.

Hyde Park
Hyde Park is likely one of the best located neighborhoods in the city. Not only is it along Lake Shore Drive with a quick walk to the waterfront, but it is also a short distance from I-90/I-94. If you’re one to take the train, the Metra Electric Line has a stop here, too.

Beverly/Mt. Greenwood
Beverly and Mt. Greenwood almost feel like the suburbs, but with more of a neighborhood feel found in a small community. The Rock Island Metra Line is nearby, along with I-294 and I-57.
