The best spots in the city for skating.
The holiday season has come and gone, and you’re probably wishing there was a few more things to do (aside from eating) in the winter. Cue ice skating! Ice skating is a blast, whether you’re going out for date night or spending the evening with a group of friends. There’s quite a few Chicago spots to skate, and we’ve got them right here.
Maggie Daley Ice Skating Ribbon
This may not be the best spot for beginners, but it does have a pretty awesome trail and some awesome views.
McCormick Tribune Plaza (Millennium Park)
Rent skates or bring your own and skate under the glorious Chicago skyline off Randolph.
Warren Park (Chicago Blackhawks) Ice Rink
Rent skates for $6 and stop by for skating through February.
MB Ice Arena
Home of the Blackhawks (for practice), this indoor ice rink is the perfect spot to escape the outdoor cold and skate for a few hours.
Wentworth Ice Rink
Skates for $7 and sled assisted skating for those in need. With planes flying overhead from nearby Midway, this park is the perfect spot for skating.
