about Reid
Reid Sheaffer’s journey into real estate began with his background as an architectural associate, where he honed his passion for designing spaces. With a deep love for architecture and a keen eye for detail, Reid naturally transitioned into real estate to help others find and appreciate the homes that fit their lives.
Bringing an architect’s perspective to every transaction, Reid offers his clients unique insights into a building’s construction, design, and potential. He is always happy to answer questions about materials, structure, and craftsmanship—ensuring his clients feel confident in their choices. After an initial consultation, he carefully curates a personalized portfolio of real estate options, tailored to each client’s distinct style and needs.
Born and raised in Chicago’s suburbs, Reid earned his degree in Industrial Design and Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2019. After graduation, he moved to the city to begin his career, working at Fujikawa Johnson Gobel Architects—the original studio of legendary architect Mies van der Rohe. Being part of a firm that helped shape Chicago’s skyline, designing Mid-Century Modern landmarks like the Federal Center and One Illinois Center, is one of his proudest professional achievements.
Outside of work, Reid enjoys exploring Chicago’s vibrant culture. Whether it’s catching live music, admiring abstract art, savoring a meal at a great Italian restaurant, or cheering at Wrigley Field, he embraces the city’s energy. At home, he unwinds with his beloved dog, Goose, and occasionally indulges in his favorite cocktail—a dark and stormy.
