Rebecca Kernes

about Rebecca

Rebecca Kernes’ journey into real estate was driven by two lifelong passions: a love for homes—especially historic properties—and a deep desire to help people. Having grown up around real estate, with parents who owned investment properties, she has been immersed in the industry her entire life. About ten years ago, she began investing in condos in Las Vegas and Chicago, further cementing her expertise in the market.

Born and raised on the North Shore of Chicago, Rebecca’s connection to the city runs deep. With a mother from the South Side and a father from Albany Park, she spent her childhood in and out of Chicago while pursuing a professional career in dance and performing arts, starting at just 14. She fell in love with the city and its surrounding areas at a young age, and today, she brings that passion to her clients—offering not just market knowledge but a unique, creative perspective on spaces and how they can be transformed.

Rebecca’s background in the arts has honed her ability to think outside the box, allowing her to see the potential in any home and reimagine it in unique and interesting ways. Her decision to join Fulton Grace was inspired by the supportive and growth-oriented environment, as well as the company’s commitment to giving back to the community—something that aligns with her own values.

She attended a performing arts high school in Kenosha, Wisconsin, before earning a bachelor’s degree in performing arts from North Central College in Naperville and a master’s degree from Columbia College, with a focus on children’s education through performance. Her career took her across stages, films, and television projects in Chicago before leading her to Las Vegas, where she performed in Tony & Tina’s Wedding and launched a successful voice-over career. You’ve likely heard her voice in various cartoons, radio ads, and television commercials.

When the pandemic hit, Rebecca knew it was time to return to Chicago and dive fully into real estate. In 2024, she made the move back home and hasn’t looked back. Today, she balances her real estate career with her love for the arts, continuing to perform across Chicago while staying active in voice-over work.

In her free time, Rebecca enjoys traveling, going on adventures with her partner and her dog, Frank, and indulging in Chicago’s vibrant food scene. She is passionate about art, dance, and theater, and she dedicates time to volunteering at animal shelters. She is also in the process of becoming certified to assist domestic abuse victims, further reflecting her dedication to making a meaningful impact in people’s lives.

Whether helping clients find their dream home or lending her voice to a beloved character, Rebecca approaches everything she does with creativity, passion, and a commitment to excellence.
